Laramie, Wy – The legislature kicks off next week and one topic that will likely come up right away is property tax relief. The idea is favored by the Governor but opposed by those who think citizens should help pay for state services. One supporter is Jackson representative Keith Gingery who is proposing relief for everyone. Gingery says those who live in Western Wyoming and other impact counties are seeing their taxes increase by over 100 percent each year. He says it is important that the state keep local government from losing any tax revenue, if they choose a bill to support.
