Purdy Fire Close To Containment

Dubois, Wy – Work continued today (Monday) to mop up the Purdy Fire burning on U-S Forest Service land west of Dubois.
Carl Jungck is fire information officer in Dubois. He says that
the fire was classified as 65 percent contained today (Monday).
That's the same containment figure as yesterday (Sunday).
Jungck says there were 383 people assigned to fight the fire
today (Monday). At its peak last month, more than 500 assigned
workers were assigned to the fire.
Jungck says some helicopter crews from the Purdy Fire helped to
fight a 3-acre fire that was discovered yesterday (Sunday) burning
in the Fitzpatrick Wilderness Area, on the border of the Wind River
Indian Reservation. He says crews were still constructing a line
around the 3-acre fire today (Monday.)
