Radio Announcer And Advocate Brian Scott Gamroth Dies

Longtime Casper radio morning announcer, Brian Scott Gamroth, known as Brian Scott on the air, died in a motorcycle accident in Montana on Sunday. Gamroth was known for his support of a number of causes including the arts.

Gamroth served on the boards for the Casper College Theatre Program, the Nicolaysen Art Museum, and the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra.

General Manager for Townsquare Media in Wyoming, Bob Price, said Gamroth also helped raise millions of dollars as an emcee at various fundraising events around the state. Gamroth was Given the Governor’s Arts Award in February for his efforts.

Price said there has been a tremendous outpouring from the Wyoming community following Gamroth’s death.

“Yesterday when we opened the phone lines, we heard from hundreds of his fans and listeners,” said Price. “And that was their friend, and we have all lost a very dear friend.”

There will be a public memorial at the Casper Events Center on Monday, September 26 at 3 p.m.
