Rankin Nominated To Be US Attorney
Casper, Wy – President Bush has nominated Kelly Rankin to serve as U.S. Attorney for Wyoming.
Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., announced Bush's nomination on Thursday.
Enzi submitted Rankin's name to the White House as a potential
nominee last year.
Rankin is currently an assistant U.S. attorney in Casper.
Enzi says he's confident that Rankin has the ability to lead
prosecutions in the state.
Enzi says he hopes the Senate Judiciary Committee will approve
Rankin's nomination promptly. If the committee approves the
nomination, Rankin's nomination would go before the entire Senate.
