Rawlins uses state grant for rec center efficiency
Rawlins, WY – The city of Rawlins is using a Wyoming Business Council grant of $247,000 grant to improve the energy efficiency of the Rawlins Family Recreation Center. The grant will be used to add new doors, windows, lighting and insulation.
City engineer Kent Kisselman says the top priority is replacing windows and doors because they let in heat during the summer - and lose heat in winter.
City Manager Steve Golnar says improving energy efficiency is a city council priority.
