Cheyenne, WY – The reaction to the governor's state of the state speech was mostly positive. Governor Freudenthal is a Democrat starting his second term and the Republican dominated legislature did not find many points of contention. Representative Colin Simpson is the number two Republican in the House. He says the governor's plan for banning open containers of alcohol in vehicles, toughening penalties for sex offenders and improving the eminent domain law are all things his party supports. Simpson says Republicans may not agree with the governor's idea of getting government involved with building affordable housing and training the workforce. He says that's something that should be left to the private sector.
