Rental Market in Gillette is Getting Even Tighter

Laramie, Wy – Gillette's rental housing market continues
to get tighter as Campbell County's population grows.
In October, the report by Denver-based Community Strategies Institute showed Gillette had a comfortable seven percent vacancy rate. As of March, only two-point-seven percent of Gillette's stick-built homes and apartments were available for rent.
Gillette senior planner Michael Surface says 54 new residential
building permits have been issued by the city since January, including 36 for single-family homes, six for attached housing and 12 for manufactured homes.
Campbell County's population is expected to grow seven to eleven
percent over the next 15 years.
