Rep. Olsen Leaves Hospital After Wife Ran Him Over
Jackson, WY – State Representative Monte Olsen has been
released from an Idaho hospital where he was treated for two weeks following an incident last month in which police say he was run over by a sport utility vehicle driven by his wife. The Republican state representative from Daniel was flown to the
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center and stayed 11 days in the intensive care unit following the April 28 incident. Lisa Glenn is Olsen's wife. She's been charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment. A sheriff's department deputy has reported that he responded to a reported domestic dispute at the couple's home and found the
50-year-old Olsen trapped underneath his wife's Chevy Suburban. Olsen told the Jackson Hole News and Guide this week that his injuries included 10 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a broken nose and broken jaw. He says he's recovering in southern Idaho and intends to return to Daniel this weekend.
