Laramie, Wy –
A recent national report says the cost of sending a Wyoming preschool age child to day care is more then it costs to send them to college in the state.
The study was done by the National Association of Child Care resource and referral agencies. It says that Parents of a 4-year-old in Wyoming pay an average of more then 54 hundred dollars a year for preschool care.
But they say that a resident full time student at the University of Wyoming would pay just over 22-hundred dollars a year in tuition, while a student paying out-of-state tuition would pay just over 7-thousand dollars a year.
The study found that the cost of child care exceeded the cost of
college in 42 states, including Wyoming.
