Laramie, Wyoming – The Wyoming Republican Central Committee will meet August 13th to try and whittle nine State Superintendent of Public Instruction Candidates down to three. The group of nine has hopes of filling the final two years of the term left vacant when Trent Blankenship formally resigned this week. The candidates will be chosen by the 69 members of the committee following presentations. Republican Party Chairman Drake Hill says the Central Committee will ask about the candidate's views on No Child Left Behind and several Wyoming issues. Once three names are chosen, they will be submitted to the Governor for a final selection.
