Riverton Looking for Solutions to Crow Problem

Laramie, Wy – So far, the city of Riverton hasn't succeeded in a variety of efforts to drive out its nuisance crows.
Mayor John Vincent had police shoot more than five-thousand of the birds last year. This year, the city is chemically treating trees and setting up electronic deterrent devices to drive off the crows. The city has also hired a falconer.
Now, a Councilman has an idea. He says crows always go to the brightest spot.
So the latest plan calls for setting up lights near trees on a ranch not far from town. The owner has promised to turn the lights on each night and to turn them off each morning.
