Laramie, Wy – Another school in Wyoming was locked down yesterday. Police in Rock Springs made this decision after receiving a threat.
Officials with the Sweetwater County School District Number One said the lock-down lasted about 45 minutes.
School operations returned to normal once police determined there was no credible threat.
The police department didn't release details about the nature of the threat because an investigation is ongoing.
Sergeant Steve Reekers with the department says police are aware of the anniversary of the Columbine shooting, and of the shooting this week at Virginia Tech.
Friday is the eighth anniversary of the school shooting at Columbine that killed 12 students and a teacher as well as two teenage gunmen.
Reekers says police are paying attention to any suspicious activities at the schools.
