Casper, Wyo. – Federal court documents show the sentencing for former Wyoming state trooper Franklin Ryle has been rescheduled for October.
Ryle was originally scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 25 in federal court. That date has been changed to Oct. 9.
Ryle pleaded guilty in July to charges that he violated the civil rights of a Wal-Mart trucker by kidnapping the man in an aborted scheme to murder him.
Prosecutors are expected to ask that Ryle be sentenced to 19 to 22 years in prison.
