Second person charged in missing hitchhiker case
Laramie, WY – A second person has been charged in the 2006 slaying of a Colorado man who disappeared while hitchhiking across Wyoming.
The Sweetwater County sheriff's office says 38-year-old Tommy
Joe Bowman, formerly of Rock Springs, is being held in the Amador
County jail in Jackson, Calif. Sheriff's spokesman Dick Blust said
Thursday that Bowman has been charged with accessory after the fact
in the death of Ben Bradley of Tabernash, Colo.
Arrangements are being made to return Bowman to Wyoming.
In March, 41-year-old Eric John Conn, a former Rock Springs
resident, was arrested in St. Louis and charged with first-degree
murder in Bradley's death.
Bradley was headed to Jackson in June 2006 when he disappeared.
His body was found north of Rock Springs. Authorities say he was
stabbed to death.
