Laramie, WY – U.S. Senator John Barrasso introduced legislation in Washington to restrict energy development in the Wyoming Range. The bill is receiving high praise from Wyoming sportsmen, such as the group Trout Unlimited.
The Wyoming Range Legacy Act of 2007 will protect more than one-million acres of the range along Wyoming's western border. It would prohibit future oil and gas leasing, while allowing a process to buy back current leases from those who are willing to sell.
