Cheyenne, WY – Governor Dave Freudenthal's office says the Governor will be sorry to lose a staff member when Christopher Crofts moves into his new job as the U.S. Attorney for Wyoming. The U.S. Senate confirmed Crofts on Christmas Eve.
Governor Freudenthal's press secretary, Jonathan Green, says it may be a few weeks before Crofts takes office: "Because of the time of the year that it is President Obama will have to sign the paperwork authorizing that."
Crofts has served as counsel to Governor Freudenthal, and he formerly headed the state's Division of Criminal Investigation. Republican U.S. Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso both supported Crofts' nomination.
