Laramie, WY – Sheridan College will receive more than seven million dollars to expand the campus and build housing for students.
Chairman of Wyoming community colleges Mike Nickel says the education foundation Whitney Benefits donated the money to build two facilities. With no space left to house or teach students, Nickel says the money could not have come at a better time.
We're over full. We've gone into the rooms and used workspace areas and converted them into dorm type bedrooms and done everything we can on the campus, Nickel said.
Sheridan College is in the middle of a 25-million-dollar campaign to finance a 150-room student dormitory and a center for entrepreneurship and culinary arts.
