Laramie, WY – The Wyoming Board of Medicine has placed a
Sheridan psychiatrist on probation.
Doctor Anup Sidhu admitted no wrongdoing in a settlement with the medicine board and is still allowed to practice.
Under the probation, Sidhu must have certain patient records reviewed and meet with two members of the Wyoming Board of Medicine at least yearly.
Sidhu says the probation action stemmed from complaints regarding the records of 14 patients he saw at the Wyoming Boys
School in Worland.
The settlement states that Sidhu's treatment of Boys School patients resulted in no harm.
Sidhu won a federal lawsuit against the state earlier this month, when a judge ruled that the Wyoming Department of Health violated state and federal laws by terminating Sidhu's Medicaid privileges in August 2006 without cause or a hearing.
