SHOSHONI WOMAN WALKS ACROSS U.S. TO RAISE AWARENESSS

Wyoming – On September 9th, a 54-year-old woman from Shoshoni, Wyoming will begin to walk across the United States to raise awareness about domestic violence. Until her trip starts, Sharon Alsup is working in a local convenience store and raising money for her trip by selling cookies at Shoshoni's Silver Sage Saloon. Alsup grew up in foster care in Oregon. She tells Wyoming Public Radio's Addie Goss that the idea for this walk came out of how she grew up and the relationships she's had along the way.
