Site of Missing Plane Discovered
Laramie, Wy – A small plane that crashed in a remote
area between Worland and Casper has been found. Authorities say neither of the two people on board survived.
Washakie County Sheriff Gary Mitchell says crews were working to
recover the two bodies.
A man and woman were on board. Their names were not immediately released.
The single-engine Beechcraft went down Tuesday after a distress call from one of the two people on board said the wings were icing up and the aircraft was losing altitude.
Mitchell says the crash site was spotted in a relatively open area of southeast Washakie County from the air by a Civil Air Patrol plane before four p-m.
Records show the plane's number showed that it was owned by Alfred Terry Sutley, of Miramar Beach, Florida.
No one answered at Sutley's home or cell number Wednesday.
The plane took off from Bridger, Montana, and was rerouted to Casper after the distress call.
