Snowfall Down but Skiers Still Head to Teton County
Laramie, Wy – The major ski resorts in Teton County have closed for the winter. The snowfall in that part of the state was below average this winter, but still the number of skiers hitting the slopes was high. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort had its second busiest ski season ever. Spokesperson, Anna Olson, says they had very strong holidays and an active December, but the season could have been even better if there was more snow at the end of the year.
At Grand Targhee the season started slow, but ended strong. A spokesperson there says all told it was their second busiest year on record with last year the busiest.
