Soldier From Evanston Dies

Baghdad, Iraq – A 31-year-old soldier from Evanston has
died in Iraq.
David Julian and four other soldier were killed Monday in
Baghdad by a suicide bomber. He is the first Evanston resident to
be killed in action since the beginning of the Iraq war.
Julian joined the Army after graduating from Evanston High
School in 1994.
He was a member of the 222nd Armored Division, Third Infantry,
based in Fort Stewart, Georgia.
Marion McLean of the Committee to Support Uinta County
Servicemen says Julian was on his fourth tour of duty in Iraq when
he was killed.
He is survived by his wife and two-month-old daughter.
Funeral services are pending.
