State legislature wraps up work for the year
Cheyenne, WY – Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal said good bye to state lawmakers as the legislature adjourned for the year. During his closing speech, the Governor praised legislators for their fiscal responsibility and for their efforts to create economic development.
"Whether its the funding of the school energy and the carbon capture and sequestration effort. Or the incentives for the data centers. Or the efforts that have been made that clean coal efforts continue. All of those bode well for the future of our economy and are essential for us to maintain our position as an energy producer."
Freudenthal also said the package of wind energy related bills that lawmakers passed, will also be critical to the state's future.
