State Public Defender Missing in Mountains

Laramie, Wy – The state's public defender is missing. It happened while Ken Koski was camping in the Wind River Mountains.
Family members say Koski was due back in Cheyenne on September eighth. On September ninth hikers in the Wind River Mountains found his campsite-- abandoned. The family says his backpack was there, but a pack for day trips was not. Also Koski's journal was inside the tent and the last entry was made on September fifth.
Now several search and rescue teams are in the area, with three helicopters and dog teams.
Koski heads the Public Defenders Office. They provide attorneys for people that can't afford lawyers and are accused of committing serious crimes. The Sublette County Undersheriff says there is no evidence of foul play at the campsite.
