Laramie, WY – The state Senate will take a final look at the requirements for the Hathaway Scholarship on Tuesday. On Friday, the senate voted to remove the requirement that students score at least proficient on the state's student assessment exame in the 11th grade. Senator Rae Lynn Job says this would have been the wrong use for the test, known as PAWS. Job says it does make it high stakes to have the test be one of the conditions to receive money for college. Others argued that students can take it more than once and they want to make sure kids try their hardest on the exam.
