State Suspends Cheyenne Family Doctor

Cheyenne, WY – A Cheyenne family practice doctor had his
license suspended by a state licensing board.
The Wyoming Board of Medicine suspended the medical license of
Doctor Alan B. Johnson effective on Tuesday.
Johnson had been practicing at the University of Wyoming Family
Medicine Residency Program in Cheyenne. He was fired from that job
on June 25th.
The state board found that Johnson's "present and recurring
chemical impairment present an immediate threat to the public
health, safety or welfare" and that emergency suspension of his
medical license was warranted.
A telephone message left at Johnson's home was not immediately
returned.
