State will decide on fracking rules.

Laramie, Wy – State oil and gas regulators are about to vote on rules that would require companies to disclose the chemicals used in a process that increases the productivity of oil and gas wells. Hydraulic fracturing involves pumping water, sand and chemicals
down a well to open up deep fissures and improve the flow of oil or
gas. Widespread "fracking" has increased concern nationwide that
the chemicals could contaminate aquifers tapped for drinking water
and irrigation.
The rules before the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission
on Tuesday would require companies to tell the state the chemicals
they use in their fracking fluids.
Information about the chemicals would be available to the state
oil and gas supervisor but not to the general public.
