Tax relief bill goes through Senate
Cheyenne, Wyo. – A measure on property tax relief measure has passed the Senate, but not without some debate.
Senator Charles Scott voted to protest that the legislature ignored a series of other property tax relief measures that would have helped a broader group of Wyoming residents.
Although she understood Scott's concern, Senator Jayne Mockler of Cheyenne urged support of the tax relief bill, because it will provide some important aid to Wyoming seniors. She admits that more work likely needs to be done on the tax issue.
