Teachers Get Boost From Ellbogen Foundation

Laramie, Wy – A foundation in Wyoming dedicated to improving education is starting a new effort to help teachers with professional development. The John P. Ellbogen Foundation will help cover the cost of earning National Board Certification. Mary Ellbogen-Garland explains they are focusing on this because her father had a vision that Wyoming could lead the nation in education. He believed National Board Certification is the best way to do this.
The Ellbogen Foundation notes that the National Board Certification is the highest credential for teachers. It takes multiple years to complete and can all be done in the state. With this initiative it should be completely free for any teachers in Wyoming.
