Teton County Deputy Fights DUI's

Casper, Wy – A Teton County Sheriffs Deputy thinks efforts by the Governors Council on impaired driving has inspired officers across the state to step up their enforcement of drinking and driving in the state. Aaron Dunlap made 73 D-U-I arrests the highest in the state barely edging out the Laramie Police Department's Vance Johnson who made 72. Dunlap says his inspiration came from the stories he's heard from victims and others at the annual Governors Conference on Impaired driving. He thinks the conference is inspiring other officers to try and get more drunk drivers off the roads. Dunlap reasons that if there are more arrests, people will become more leery about drinking and driving. Dunlap and other individuals were honored this week by the Governors Council on Impaired Driving.
