Teton County Makes it Tougher for Students to Get Pain Killers at School
Laramie, Wy – School officials in Teton County decided to stop purchasing over-the-counter medication for nurses' offices.
Teton County schools are also going to require permission forms from students to take pain relievers or prescription drugs during school hours.
The new policy will go into effect this fall.
A local nurse helped draft the new policy. She says the current practices have forced nurses' offices to operate like pharmacies.
