Teton Students Upset with Anti Underage Drinking Campaign
Laramie, Wy – Some students called a local Jackson group that's targeting underage drinking a "joke" this week and left the meeting saying they were frustrated about the lack of results.
First Lady Nancy Freudenthal introduced the meeting Thursday with her pledge to reduce Wyoming's status as being first in the nation in terms of children under 13 drinking.
Many students complained about what they see as hypocrisy in the community toward drinking.
One 2006 graduate of Jackson Hole High School, noted that the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole is giving scholarships from money earned through Wine Fest.
And said many people in the club are also in the group organizing against drinking, and questioned the message that sends young people.
