Cheyenne, WY – A Wyoming health official is urging people to be cautious around flood water if flooding occurs as many predict this month. Acting State Health officer Tracy Murphy says people should take great care to avoid coming into contact with flood water. But he says there is an additional precaution people should take.
"Really the only thing people should be sure to think about is if they may be volunteering, or doing cleanup work , or if they are at increased risk of injury is in getting their tetanus immunizations up to date."
Murphy says those who own wells need to monitor them to make sure flood water does not contaminate their water.
