Laramie, Wy – Staff members at the University of Wyoming are set to receive pay raises this year. Vice President for administration Phil Harris says in prior years, only faculty members saw substantial raises. This year it's the staff's turn. Currently, most of the 26-hundred staff members are paid 90 percent of the going rate in their industries. This year's plan would bring as many staff as possible to 100 percent of the going rate. University trustees will make a final decision the proposal tomorrow (Friday).
