Two Years Since Scientist Couple Died in Car Crash
Laramie, Wy – The scientific community across the nation is still feeling the loss of Beth Williams. She died in a car accident two years ago south of Laramie with her husband. Williams was a leading expert in the field of Chronic Wasting Disease, which is fatal for deer and elk.
Hank Edwards from the Game and Fish Department says other scientists have taken what she did and accomplished a lot because of it.
Williams' husband was Tom Thorne who was another important scientist in Wyoming. He did a lot with the disease brucellosis and was acting director of the Game and Fish Department for a period.
