Union leaders are suing Wyo Dept. of Corrections

Rawlins, Wy – Leaders of the union representing some Wyoming correctional officers have filed a federal lawsuit claiming top administrators at the Wyoming Department of Corrections
retaliated against them for union activities.
Dee Garrison is a sergeant at the state prison in Rawlins
president of the Wyoming Association of Correctional Employees.
She's been an outspoken critic of chronic short-staffing at the
prison.
Garrison and union Vice President Norman MacIntosh together with
the officers' union itself filed the federal lawsuit early this
month. They claim the Corrections Department retaliated against
them for their union activities and discouraged other officers from
joining.
Wyoming Attorney General Bruce Salzburg declined comment.
