Laramie, Wy – The University of Wyoming signed an agreement this week with a developer to remake the school's golf course. On top of the golf course the developer will also build up to a thousand homes.
U-W Vice President of Administration, Phill Harris, says while this will cost 13 million dollars, the university is not putting up any money and the developer is the one taking the risk, though if there are profits U-W could share in those.
The existing university golf course will stay open until the developer finishes building a new 18 holes.
Harris says this will benefit the U-W golf team too because they can hold competitive tournaments when the project is finished.
