UW luxury stadium suites open to rave reviews
Laramie, Wyo. – The University of Wyoming's luxury stadium suites debuted Saturday to rave reviews from donors who paid up to $40,000 a season to watch Cowboys football games from a fancy perch.
The $22 million Wildcatter Stadium Club opened Saturday on the east side of the 61-year-old War Memorial Stadium. Wyoming was one of the last schools in the Mountain West conference to add luxury suites.
Donors paid up to $40,000 per season for one of the 10 suites or $2,500 per season for one of 250 club seats.
Some donors gave millions. John Martin, a Casper oilman, donated $2 million to construct the luxury suites. He joked that his game days are going to be a lot warmer now.
Donors got a good show Saturday. Wyoming defeated Southern Utah 28-20.
