UW plans memorial service for Chinese student

Laramie, WY – The University of Wyoming is holding a memorial service for a student who died in a car crash this weekend. Ninghe Zhang was a sophomore studying accounting. She came to U-W from China. Jill Johnson from the International Students and Scholars Office says there are about three hundred Chinese nationals at the University of Wyoming and their community is devastated and in shock.
"Personally I feel those emotions too, but I'm also very uplifted by the support that both the Chinese community and the UW community have shown for the students that were in the accident and the families."
The four other students in the car with Zhang (jong) have been released from the hospital.
The memorial will take place Wednesday on the university campus.
