UW Pres: Students Should Graduate

Laramie, WY – University of Wyoming President Tom Buchanan says he wants to improve the state's higher education statistics. In his annual State of the University address, Buchanan said little more than 50 percent of our Wyoming high school graduates go on to some form of post-secondary education.

"And less than 60 percent of those who attend UW leave after six years with a diploma in hand. We must do better," Buchanan said.

The president also said that he wants to build a billion-dollar endowment by the year 2025. The current endowment is a quarter that size.
