Bentonville, AK – Wal-Mart says it is expanding its four
dollar generic prescription program to eleven more states, including Wyoming.
The move will complete the launch of the discount drug plan throughout its 38-hundred pharmacies across the U-S.
Wal-Mart kicked off the discount program in Florida in September, with initial plans to expand it to other states in January. However, the retailer accelerated the plan's expansion over the past few months, prompting rivals such as Target and B-J's Wholesale Club to launch similar programs.
The program is not available in North Dakota because Wal-Mart does not operate any pharmacies there.
