Weather Causes Crashes

Sheridan, Wy – A school bus, seven tractor-trailers and
other vehicles crashed in two chain collisions in snowy weather in
northern Wyoming this morning (Wednesday).
The crashes happened as a major spring snowstorm bears down on
most of Wyoming, as well as southeastern Montana and parts of
Colorado and Utah.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says four people were hurt in the
crashes on Interstate 90 between Buffalo and Sheridan. One of the
injuries was serious.
But no one was hurt on the school bus, which was carrying 36
students from Tongue River High School in Dayton.
Winter storm warnings are in effect for most of Wyoming as well
as southeastern Montana, central Utah and the Colorado mountains.
Blizzard warnings are posted for parts of northern Wyoming and
southeastern Montana.
Forecasters say up to two feet of snow could fall in the
mountains. Lesser amounts are predicted for the lower elevations.
