Weather could aid firefighters

Cody, Wy – Cool and cloudy weather is expected to help firefighters battling wildfires in northwest Wyoming. At least four wildfires were burning in the area Monday and one
has grown to about 3,000 acres or nearly 5 square miles. It's burning in the Gros Ventre Wilderness of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. The lightning-caused blaze is being managed for habitat benefits while structures are protected.
Another fire has grown to 218 acres about 50 miles west of Cody
and is visible from the East Entrance Road in Yellowstone National
Park.
Two smaller fires are burning in remote parts of the Teton
Wilderness, one 15 acres and one 30 acres.
No injuries or structure damage have been reported from any of
the fires.
