LARAMIE, wyo – The Democratic candidate for Wyoming's lone seat in Congress is stepping up criticism of his opponent. David Wendt is challenging incumbent Cynthia Lummis, a Republican.
Today Wendt launched a campaign critiquing Lummis for several of her votes over the last two years. Wendt was on the University of Wyoming campus, and directed one message to female students, who expect equal pay for equal work.
"My opponent's very first act when she got into the United States Congress was to oppose the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act," said Wendt. "Which would have, which has helped to level that playing field."
Wendt also criticized Lummis for voting against the Hate Crimes' Bill. Lummis is traveling the state and could not comment.
