Wildlife Officials Move Grizzly Bear After it Kills Sheep

Laramie, Wy – A grizzly bear with a history of killing livestock has been relocated to an area west of Cody.
The adult male bear is known to have killed a domestic sheep on public lands in the Upper Green River drainage of the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
Its new home is five miles east of Yellowstone National Park, in an area of the Shoshone National Forest not used for livestock grazing and within grizzly habitat.
In July, three other grizzly bears were relocated from the Bridger-Teton National Forest to Park County.
Relocated bears are fitted with radio collars and their location is monitored on a regular basis.
