Wildlife Trust Board Gets Several Proposals

Cheyenne, Wy – The Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource
Trust has received 59 applications seeking about 4-point-7 (m)
million dollars in project funding in the current application
period.
Applications came in from 35 organizations in 19 of the state's
23 counties.
Delaine Roberts of Etna is chairman of the trust board. He says
the applications appear generally to be of high quality. The board
has about 4 (m) million dollars in funding available this year.
Roberts says a lot of the applications seek funding for projects
to address sagebrush habitats. A number of the other projects are
focused on improving wetlands and stream habitat.
Roberts says the trust board is now performing preliminary
review of the applications. The board will make its final funding
decisions in June.
