WIND POWER FACES THREAT OF SAGE GROUSE LISTING
Wyoming – The greater sage grouse is causing a stir among wind developers in Wyoming. A little over six months from now, in February, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will say whether or not the bird should be listed as an endangered species. The prospect of that listing has led the state to halt wind development in areas designated as the bird's key habitat - millions of acres across the state. Wyoming Public Radio's Molly Messick reports.
