Woman Charged in Jogging Accident

Jackson, WY – A woman accused of driving a vehicle that
hit another woman jogging with her baby in Grand Teton National
Park last month has pleaded not guilty to unsafe operation of a
motor vehicle.
Shannon Davis was charged with hitting 37-year-old Michelle
Benson, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, with her car near Kelly on July
22nd. Benson was jogging with her 20-month-old baby, who was in a
stroller in front of her.
Benson did not suffer any internal or life-threatening injuries,
but she was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in
Idaho Falls, Idaho. The baby was unharmed in the accident.
If found guilty, the 26-year-old Davis faces up to six months in
a federal jail for unsafe operation of a motor vehicle.
