Woman loses Wyoming sex discrimination suit

Casper, Wyo. – A woman who worked for a McMurry energy company has lost a discrimination suit against the company.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports that a federal jury ruled against Holly Miller Thursday following a four-day trial presided over by U.S. District Judge Nancy Freudenthal.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed the lawsuit against M&N Equipment on Miller's behalf. It alleged the company unlawfully retaliated against her and finally fired her after she complained that she was sexually harassed by a co-worker.

The company argued that her claims were frivolous and aimed at harassing the company.

Miller also alleged that her former supervisor at M&N called her new employer and falsely maligned her, causing her to lose her new job.
