Laramie, WY – A pilot mentoring program for women in Jackson has proven to be a success.
Ruth Ann Petroff credits the program called Womentoring for her decision to seek public office. She will be sworn in as a state representative on Jan. 11.
She says she never ran for office before last year although she had worked on campaigns for other candidates and issues.
Womentoring has graduated more than 10 executive directors of nonprofit organizations and several new entrepreneurs and small business owners.
A similar program will be started in Fremont County this year.
